Objects stored in the Gold Room

OSH has collected a lot of objects over the years.  Some are easily recognizable, others are not.  We need your help identifying these objects!  Starting this week we will periodically post an image and description of an unidentified object on the Artifact ID page.  Please help by submitting information or recollections about the object as a comment on the page.  Comments will be saved and filed in the collections management database.

Someone on flickr.com posted 3 or 4 images of the ACTUAL DAYROOM & PROPS from “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”. I’m sure those of you involved in this OSH museum are aware of that exhibit and the props involved. They include among other things the chairs the nurses sat in for group, and the broom the Indian Chief pushed around the room during filming. Is that a “Babe Ruth’s Bat” of a find or what? 🙂

Please click on or paste this link into your Internet browser or firefox for a photo of the exhibit:

I understand that very likely that specific ward & day room where ..Cuckoo’s Nest was filmed may not be in the portion of the J-Building that will be preserved. However, it might be nice to present some of the props displayed in that dayroom in a part of the space you were allotted.

Thanks for taking the time to read this suggestion.
